Tea 4 Tomorrow Boys and Girls Club
Last night, Dana had the honor of serving as the keynote speaker at Tea 4 Tomorrow, a meaningful event hosted by the Boys & Girls Club to celebrate and uplift the young women in the S.M.A.R.T. Girls program. Throughout the evening, she shared powerful reflections on resilience and confidence, connecting in a genuine and memorable way with everyone in the room. It was inspiring to witness the strength, growth, and self-assurance these young women carry, a true reflection of the program’s lasting impact.
The evening offered more than conversation. Guests enjoyed tea together while experiencing heartfelt and impressive entertainment from the girls themselves, adding a special energy to the celebration. Moments like these reinforce the importance of community, mentorship, and encouragement. We are grateful to have been part of an event that is actively shaping the next generation with confidence, purpose, and opportunity.
Empowering the Whole Woman Chamber of Commerce Event
Dana Brooks recently joined an inspiring group of women as a panelist at Empowering the Whole Woman, an event hosted by the Capital City Chamber of Commerce. As a Pinnacle Award recipient, Dana was interviewed alongside other accomplished leaders from Tallahassee, sharing insights shaped by her professional experience and commitment to serving others. The discussion highlighted the meaningful impact these women are making across the community, as well as the importance of leadership grounded in connection, purpose, and service.
During Women’s History Month, the event carried even greater significance, offering a moment to recognize and celebrate women who continue to shape the future through mentorship, advocacy, and leadership. Dana’s participation reflects the values we hold as a firm—building strong relationships, supporting our community, and leading with intention. We are proud of the example she sets both within our firm and throughout the broader Tallahassee community, and we remain grateful for the influence she continues to have on those around her.
Pensacola Band Member of the Month
At Fasig | Brooks, we believe in celebrating the dedication and talent that make our local communities stronger. That is why we are proud to recognize February’s Band Member of the Month, Ayla Blochle from Pace High School. As a band captain and accomplished alto saxophonist, Ayla consistently demonstrates a commitment to excellence. She has earned multiple Superior ratings at Solo and Ensemble festivals and plays an integral role in both the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble 1, two groups known for their continued success at competitions and festivals.
Ayla’s impact extends beyond individual achievement. Her band director, Justin Mozina, highlighted her leadership and contributions, particularly during a recent Jazz MPA at Pensacola State College, where the ensemble earned straight Superior ratings. Ayla also delivered a standout performance in a Grade 7 duet that same day, earning another Superior rating. Through programs like Band Member of the Month, we are honored to recognize students like Ayla, whose hard work, creativity, and growth inspire those around them and reflect the strength of our community.
Pensacola Ronald McDonald House
We stepped away from our desks and into the kitchen at the Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida, where we had the privilege of preparing lunch for families navigating some of life’s most difficult moments. It was an afternoon grounded in connection and purpose—one that reminded us how meaningful it is to support organizations that care so deeply for their communities. Ronald McDonald House Charities creates a true “home away from home,” offering comfort, stability, and compassion to families with children receiving medical treatment, and we were honored to contribute in a small way to that mission.
We are grateful to the incredible team who welcomed us so warmly and made the experience so impactful. Opportunities like this reinforce our belief in showing up for people, both inside and outside the courtroom. For those looking to give back in a tangible, heartfelt way, volunteering with Ronald McDonald House is a powerful place to start. Even a few hours can make a lasting difference for families who need it most.
Dana Brooks 2026 Pinnacle Awards
Celebrating moments like the 2026 Pinnacle Awards reminds us how powerful leadership and service can be in shaping a community. Dana Brooks was honored as a 2025 Pinnacle Award recipient, standing alongside 11 remarkable women whose contributions continue to leave a lasting impact across Northwest Florida. The event brought together a group of leaders whose work reflects innovation, dedication, and a shared commitment to meaningful progress.
At Fasig | Brooks, we are proud to support and celebrate individuals who embody these values. Being there to recognize Dana was both meaningful and inspiring, and it reflects the kind of purpose-driven work we believe in every day. We are grateful to have shared in this celebration and to honor a recognition that is so well deserved.
Oasis Trailblazer Luncheon
We had the privilege of attending the Oasis Center for Women & Girls Annual Trailblazer Luncheon, a meaningful celebration of Women’s History Month and the extraordinary women shaping our community. The event brought together leaders, advocates, and changemakers, all united by a shared commitment to uplifting and empowering women and girls. As a Legacy Sponsor, we are grateful for the opportunity to support such an impactful mission and to stand alongside others who are dedicated to creating lasting change.
We are especially proud of our shareholder, Kimmy Hogan, who serves as President of the organization and continues to lead with purpose and vision. Congratulations to each of the honorees whose work inspires progress and strengthens our community every day. It was an honor to be part of such a thoughtful and inspiring gathering, and we extend our appreciation to everyone who made the event so memorable.
Baby Shower for Ryan and Elora
We gathered to celebrate Ryan and Elora and the exciting arrival of their baby girl, Mila. The room was beautifully adorned with thoughtful details and soft pink accents, creating a warm and welcoming space where smiles came easily and love was felt in every moment. It was a meaningful time to come together and honor such a special season in their lives.
Celebrating milestones like this reminds us how connected we are as a family. We are so excited to meet you, Mila, and to watch your journey begin. Congratulations, Ryan and Elora—your Fasig Brooks family is truly so happy for you and grateful to share in this unforgettable chapter.
Mudbugs & Music on the Bay
Mudbugs, music, and a strong sense of community made Mudbugs & Music on the Bay in Panacea an unforgettable experience. From the moment the cook-off began at Woolley Park, the energy carried across the water, bringing together families, local leaders, and some seriously impressive crawfish talent. Dana Brooks had the honor of serving as a judge at the KWCB Crawfish Cook-Off alongside Wakulla County Commissioners Quincee Messersmith and Ralph Thomas, Wakulla High culinary instructor Ryan Warner, and Sheriff Jared Miller. Each dish reflected the pride and creativity of a community that knows how to show up and celebrate together.
Beyond the competition, the day was filled with live music, laughter, and meaningful connections, all in support of Keep Wakulla County Beautiful and the important work they continue to do. Events like this highlight what makes Wakulla so special: people coming together, supporting one another, and creating lasting memories. We are grateful to be part of a community that values both tradition and togetherness, and we are already looking forward to the next opportunity to gather on the bay.
Pensacola Band Member of the Month
At Fasig | Brooks, we believe strong communities are built by recognizing the people who give their time, talent, and heart to something greater than themselves. Our band member of the month program was created to celebrate outstanding high school band students in Escambia and Santa Rosa County who demonstrate dedication, creativity, and growth.
We are proud to recognize our first honoree, Carley Hoskins from West Florida High School, whose commitment to her band program reflects the very best of our local student community. Carley is a four-year member of the West Florida High School band program and currently serves as flute section leader for the second consecutive year with the marching band. She also holds the distinguished position of first chair flute and piccolo in the Symphonic Band. These accomplishments reflect not only musical talent but also consistent discipline and leadership.
Carley’s example reminds us that excellence is built on teamwork, preparation, and a willingness to lift others up.
Carrie Roane Speaks at FSU Law School
Our attorney and shareholder Carrie Roane had the honor of returning to Florida State University College of Law to speak with the pre-law fraternity, Kappa Alpha Pi. The visit carried special meaning. She stood at the front of the very room where she once sat to take the LSAT in 1995, reflecting on how far her journey in the legal profession has taken her.
Even more meaningful, her son Gabriel, who works as a law clerk at our firm, sat in the audience as a member of the fraternity. From law student to trial attorney to mentor, Carrie experienced a full-circle moment that highlights the generational impact of dedication to the law.
Opportunities like this reflect our firm’s commitment to mentorship and to strengthening the next generation of legal professionals. From sitting in the classroom to leading it, and now watching her son follow a similar path, it was an unforgettable experience that reinforces the lasting value of community, education, and service.
CARE Casino Night Fundraiser
We had the privilege of sponsoring and attending the CARE casino night fundraiser, and it was truly a meaningful evening. Events like this reflect what we value most at Fasig | Brooks: strong relationships, shared purpose, and a deep commitment to the community we serve.
The Companion Animal Rescue Endeavor (CARE) continues to make a lasting impact by rescuing, treating, and rehabilitating sick and injured companion animals. Their work gives vulnerable animals a second chance at safe, healthy, and loving homes, and we are proud to support an organization that leads with compassion and dedication. The event was an opportunity for our community to come together in support of animals that depend on this organization for survival and healing. Seeing so many people show up with generosity and enthusiasm was inspiring.
Christmas Toy Drive
This year, the Fasig | Brooks teams in both Tallahassee and Pensacola proudly partnered with Toys for Tots to help bring holiday joy to children in our communities. Attorneys and staff from both offices came together to collect new, unwrapped toys throughout the season, filling donation boxes with gifts for families in need. We’re grateful to our clients, neighbors, and friends who contributed, and we’re honored to support an organization that brings hope and happiness to so many local children each year.
Back to School Season
In honor of our kiddos heading back to school, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the spirit of giving and the power of community. Back to school season isn’t just about new clothes and fresh supplies- it’s about making sure every student feels supported, every parent feels less stressed, and every teacher knows they’re appreciated.
That’s why we were grateful to play a small part in a few amazing local efforts.
We partnered with St. John A.M.E. Church in Boston, GA, for a toiletry drive where—thanks to donations from our team and many others—106 bags of toiletries went to boys and girls of all ages, helping them start the year with confidence.
In Tallahassee, we joined Packs 4 Success in their school supply drive. With the help of countless community donors, over 325 backpacks—300 filled with school supplies—plus so many other essentials were given to local students.
And because teachers are the heart of every school, we hosted our own $250 Amazon Gift Card Giveaway to show our appreciation. Our winner, Elizabeth Walters, is beginning her 22nd year teaching in Sarasota County, FL, and we couldn’t think of a more deserving educator.
Here’s to every student, teacher, and parent- may this school year be filled with growth, kindness, and opportunities to shine.

Dana Brooks Establishes Sharon Jefferson Endowed Scholarship
Dana established an endowed scholarship at Tallahassee Community College to honor Sharon Jefferson, a mentor and friend to Dana and many others during her 31 years at TCC. The Sharon Jefferson Endowed Scholarship will be awarded to a local woman who is a first-generation student at Tallahassee Community College. Dana hopes that this scholarship will empower a student to pursue an education they previously thought unattainable, the same way she was empowered by Sharon Jefferson to pursue her own education.
