Q: How long have you been at Fasig Brooks?
Aeesha: โIโve been here for 9 months!โ
Q: Describe your role at Fasig Brooks.
Aeesha: โAs an intake specialist, my job is to be the first point of contact for any prospective client. I make sure to empathetically connect with clients by listening to their situations and determining if itโs something our firm can assist with.โ
Q: What inspired you to join the team here?
Aeesha: โLeadership made a great impression by emphasizing how compassion-driven the firm is. I appreciated the fact that the firm understands the importance of connecting with others and how it contributes to a better work environment both for the team and clients.โ
Q: Whatโs the most meaningful part of working at Fasig Brooks?
Aeesha: โAs a member of a personal injury firm, thereโs an understanding that people reach out to us when they are experiencing a tough situation and need someone to help. It feels good to know the firm empathizes with this and makes sure the care we have for our clients is evident in the work we do.โ
Q: If each day had 25 hours, what would you do with the extra time?
Aeesha: โGet some more sleep and go on more day trips!โ
Q: What book or movie has had a significant impact on you and why?
Aeesha: โMy current favorite is a collection of essays titled โIโm Lying But Iโm Telling The Truthโ by Bassey Ikpi. Itโs a raw and wonderful look into the reality of mental health and the process of growing through it. It paints a clear picture of how resilience is not given but earned, and thatโs something I identify with strongly.โ
Q: What keeps you going when you are under pressure?
Aeesha: โThe knowing that stress is always followed by peace as long as you push through it.โ
Q: What is something about Fasig Brooks you wish more people knew about?
Aeesha: โThe candy drawer blew my mind when I first started here.โ
Q: Whatโs your dream car?
Aeesha: โ(I donโt have a dream car, skip pls)โ
Q: If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
Aeesha: โSouth Korea! I spent a month there a few years ago and had such a good time. I would love to go back to try all the things I didnโt have the time to and continue learning about a culture thatโs so different to what Iโm used to.โ
Q: Whatโs your favorite activity outside of work?
Aeesha: โI spend a lot of my time writing essays, short stories, and poems.โ
Q: Whatโs your favorite place to visit?
Aeesha: โGoing back home to South Florida is always going to be my favorite. Thereโs nothing better than only being 10 minutes away from the beach.โ
Q: Whatโs the most frequently asked question you get from clients and how do you answer?
Aeesha: โEveryone is always curious about the process of pursuing a claim. Does it take a while? What does it entail? Is it worth it? I always make sure to lead the answer by emphasizing the fact that this is about getting justice for the suffering experienced and explaining how simple the process can actually be since theyโre enlisting the help of our attorneys.โ
