Staff Spotlight on Craig Richards
Attorney
Fasig | Brooks Law Offices
Tallahassee Office
Describe Your Role at Fasig Brooks
Craig: “I represent clients who have been injured due to the negligence of others. Along with my
legal team, we provide guidance and advocacy to help our clients seek compensation for their losses.”
How long have you been with Fasig Brooks?
Craig: “It’ll be one year next month! I joined the firm in April 2023 after working at a national
firm as a senior trial attorney.”
What inspired you to join the team here?
Craig: “When I met the Fasig|Brooks team, I loved the genuine care they had for their clients and
employees.”
What’s the most meaningful part of working with Fasig Brooks?
Craig: “We get to actually make a difference. On a yearly basis we help thousands of clients
“come back stronger” after they’ve been hurt or injured because of someone else’s negligence. As a former defense attorney, I can’t imagine a more admirable calling than to help the injured and less fortunate.”
If each day had 25 hours, what would you do with the extra time?
Craig: “I would spend it with my wife and our kids.”
What book or movie has had a significant impact on you and why?
Craig: “The Jason Bourne movie series. I’m an action buff at heart, but the character is extremely intelligent, capable, and prevails by sheer determination and grit. For him, losing or quitting is not an option.”
What keeps you going when you feel pressure or stress?
Craig: “Knowing that my family and my clients are counting on me”
What is something about Fasig Brooks you wish more people knew about?
Craig: “One of the most important values of the company is making sure each client receives ‘white glove service.’ It’s something that is lost in the legal industry and overlooked by our competitors. This means that we support our clients with exceptional care and attention. It’s not only what they deserve on their road to coming back stronger, but it’s also what allows us to get maximum compensation for their case. The more we know our clients and the more connected we are with them, the better we’re able to fight for them”
What’s your dream car?
Craig: “Lamborghini Urus”
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
Craig: “Interestingly enough – Croatia, a country in the Balkans on the Adriatic Sea. My wife and I were scheduled to go there on our honeymoon, but our trip was cancelled. We’d love to get there one day.”
What’s your favorite activity outside of work?
Craig: “Easily quality time with friends and family. My wife and I love to host dinners and have people over to our home. When we first moved in, we made sure everything was set up for us to have lots of people over easily. It’s definitely one of our favorite things to do.”
What’s your favorite place to visit?
Craig: “So far I’d say it has been Florence, Italy. I love traveling, and the art, food, wine, and
history in Florence was the perfect combination for an amazing trip.”
What’s the most frequently asked question you get from clients?
Craig: “My clients always wonder when they can expect their case to be concluded. I tell them about how the timeline of the case is dependent on their medical treatment plan. We don’t want to settle a case before they’ve finished being treated for their injuries, because those medical bills all need to be paid for by the defendant. Each case is evaluated on an individual basis, so it’s impossible to say exactly what the timeline will be without a full review of the situation. I always remind my clients that we are seeking full value, so we won’t take the first low settlement offer that comes our way. The goal is always to move the case as fast as possible, while also making sure that we’re securing everything our clients deserve”
