Describe Your Role at Fasig Brooks
Kyla Toy:“My biggest obligation as the Marketing Assistant is to manage our firm’s multiple social media platforms. Using my knowledge and research, I film, create, schedule, and upload content to the firm’s social accounts. This includes Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Linked In, Google Business, and YouTube. Additionally, as one of Fasig Brooks’ receptionists, I have the pleasure of answering all incoming phone calls to the office and greeting our amazing clients.”;
How long have you been with Fasig Brooks?
Kyla Toy: “Almost two three!”
What inspired you to join the team here?
Kyla Toy: “Before joining the team here, I was planning on going into the nursing field. However, I found myself facing some difficult challenges that caused me to put my plans on hold. Carrie Roane, one of the partners here at Fasig Brooks and a lifelong family friend, reached out to me and offered me a job. While the legal sector wasn’t on my radar as an area in which I wanted to work long – term, I quickly fell in love with Fasig Brooks after joining the team here!”
What’s the most meaningful part of working with Fasig Brooks?
Kyla Toy: “One of the most meaningful parts of working at Fasig Brooks is getting to witness the moments when our clients’ lives are changed. As a receptionist, I take the first initial phone call from a person who is often distressed and nervous about calling to hire a lawyer. I also have the opportunity of getting to witness that same client leave our firm with tears in their eyes and the biggest smile on their face knowing that we just changed their life forever.”
If each day had 25 hours, what would you do with the extra time?
Kyla Toy: “If I had an extra hour in the day, I would spend it getting all my evening tasks completed so that I would never miss a sunset!”
What book or movie has had a significant impact on you and why?
Kyla Toy: As cheesy as it sounds, I could rewatch The Notebook over and over again and never get bored of it. Other than this movie being the best love story ever (in my opinion of course), it shows us how important love is, while teaching us to go after what we want without caring what other people think. This movie is an excellent reminder to go through life loving others and doing everything you can to not judge anyone for how they live theirs.”
What keeps you going when you feel pressure or stress?
Kyla Toy: “TWO things that keeps me going under pressure is my faith in God and Red Bulls. I would be lost without both.”
What’s your dream car?
Kyla Toy: “I either want a blacked – out “mom car” such as an Escalade/Tahoe or a big Ford F250.”
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
Kyla Toy: “My dream is to travel to Montana. Anywhere there are not a lot of people or buildings around sounds amazing.”
What’s your favorite activity outside of work?
Kyla Toy: “Anything outdoors or in the sun! I love to go on the boat while working on a tan!”
What’s your favorite place to visit?
Kyla Toy: “The beach or the mountains! Anywhere with a view that makes me feel small and leaves me speechless.”
What’s the most frequently asked question you get from clients?
Kyla Toy: “One of the most frequently asked questions that I get from people is “Are all the attorneys really this nice, or are they just acting for social media?” I love this question because I like to reply with, “Well how about you get to know them and see for yourself!” They always come back to me and say that I was right.”
