Describe Your Role at Fasig Brooks
Nyla:“I have the opportunity at Fasig Brooks to speak with all our amazing clients and anyone else who calls in to speak with us. I am one of the three people who answer the phones and greet any visitors that come into the office and ensure they are helped by the appr opriate staff member. I also just recently became a paralegal assistant for Carrie Roane’s legal team, and I’m looking forward to the experience I will gain from working with them.”
How long have you been with Fasig Brooks?
Nyla: “It will be two years this June!”
What inspired you to join the team here?
Nyla: “Before working here, I was able to experience the impact that this firm has on their clients’ lives, and it inspired me to pursue a career as an attorney. After making that decision I wanted to be part of that process as soon as I could. Coincidentally, we needed a new receptionist at the time, and I have been here ever since!”
What’s the most meaningful part of working with Fasig Brooks?
Nyla: “Interacting with clients, hearing their stories, and knowing that the people I work with will do their best to help them.”
If each day had 25 hours, what would you do with the extra time?
Nyla: Game night! I love playing board games with my friends and getting a little too competitive.
What book or movie has had a significant impact on you and why?
Nyla: “Any book by Kristin Hannah, but probably The Nightingale. It made me want to be a better person and get out of my comfort zone to help people!”
What keeps you going when you feel pressure or stress?
Nyla: “Deep breaths and taking things one step at a time. But mainly, my family and community are a huge support system, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.”
What is something about Fasig Brooks you wish more people knew about?
Nyla: “I wish people knew more about the work that our administrative team and paralegals do to make this place run. There are so many amazing people that work here, and I am happy to learn from them and their work ethics.”
What’s your dream car?
Nyla: “I don’t really have one, but I also don’t like paying for gas, so maybe something electric one day.”
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
Nyla: “Somewhere to see The Northern Lights and go skiing!”
What’s your favorite activity outside of work?
Nyla: I love taking my hammock to the park and reading or going to concerts.”
What’s your favorite place to visit?
Nyla: “Park City, Utah”
What’s the most frequently asked question you get from clients?
Nyla: “When I’m answering the phones, I have the privilege of speaking with many callers who are wondering if they should take legal action after being injured. It’s wonderful to be able to immediately connected them with one of our Intake Specialists. I love knowing that they will get the help they need right away.
